Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity, Epsilon Rho Chapter @ San Luis Obispo, CA Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity

Academics

There is truly no better option for the young man who is serious about making the most of his years at Cal Poly. Fraternity men consistently post GPAs higher than the all-university average because they are part of a network of support and experience. At Delta Sigma Phi, you can always find an older brother who has gone through the classes that you are taking right now. The experiences of these older brothers can help you make smarter decisions when taking the classes pertaining to your major.

Leadership

Our brothers are consistently involved on campus and in our community. With active involvement in the ASI Student Government, Interfraternity Council, Cal Poly athletics, Women's Center and the city SARP center to name a few, our brothers gain invaluable leadership experiences. Within the chapter and nationally, our brothers can hold leadership positions such as treasurer, housing, commissary and regional representative to gain the skills they will need outside of college.

Social Life

By being one of the largest fraternities on campus, Delta Sigma Phi boasts great relations with all sororities on the Cal Poly campus. Through diverse and exciting social events, our members gain the social skills necessary for success outside of college. Delta Sigma Phi promotes a healthy balance of school and social activities so that our brothers can get the most of their college experience.

Alumni Relations

With our rich history of over 50 years, Delta Sigma Phi has one of the strongest alumni backings both within the fraternities at Cal Poly as well as within all Delta Sigma Phi chapters nationally. Our alumni are CEOs of corporations all across the US and consistently look to our chapter for graduates in their area of work. In the real world, networking is everything and at Delta Sigma Phi, you will immediately gain access to a large network of successful alumni.

Housing

Our brothers constructed our chapter house in the 70s. By being one of very few fraternities that own their own house, Delta Sigma Phi is able to offer reasonably priced housing to all brothers. Housing costs at Delta Sigma Phi are consistently much lower than costs at any other apartment and student housing complex near campus. Also, by living at Delta Sigma Phi, you will experience living with a group of brothers who will be there for you at all times. Delta Sigma Phi brothers also have the option of joining a meal plan. By being on the meal plan, our brothers can concentrate more on school while getting a balanced well cooked meal 5 times a week.

Scholarships

Our local alumni chapter offers 2 scholarships yearly to those brothers who have excelled both academically and in leadership positions held within and outside of the fraternity. Our national headquarters also offers scholarships to leadership conferences annually.

How to Join?

The Cal Poly Interfraternity Council holds two rush periods at the start of the fall quarter and the end of winter quarter. Rush periods allow our fraternity to showcase our house and brotherhood through various events. At the end of each Rush period, we will extend bids to potential members to join our fraternity. You would then have 48 hours to accept the bid and become a new member of Delta Sigma Phi. We encourage you to come around and fraternity and meet the guys at any time during the year. If you have any questions, please contact our rush chair Joshua Pickles @ 650-533-3655 or jpickles@calpoly.edu.
